Bottle of Water. It's Christmas!

I was on my way back to the CAS, a bottle of water in hand. I was thinking about what I would have for brunch. There was this kid who came up to me and said:

Ate, akin na lang yan. *looks at bottle of water*

I was surprised and said: Tubig lang ito.

Okay lang. *holds out hand*

I handed him my bottle and walked away.

To tell you the truth, before I left for school this morning, I almost didn't bring water. I already had a lot of things stuffed in my bag and it's such a hassle to carry around a bottle of water.

But God, in all His goodness, planned that I bring a bottle of water to school, and so I did. I didn't know that a poor kid would be asking for it later.

Naiinis ako. Tubig lang ang naibigay ko sa kanya. Kung alam ko lang na makakasalubong ko siya... kung alam ko lang sana hindi lang tubig ang dinala ko.

It's Christmas!

NoteToSelf: Do more good things. :p

Very good, Ms. Deonaldo.

PMS-ing

I am a fool... I should have looked up. I saw you smile. I should have smiled back...

I was making my way to the prof... I needed to talk to her about something... You were on your way out. You pushed a chair out of your way and into mine... I froze.

Ay, sorry. Sorry. I love hearing it from you because you don't say it a lot...

I stood there and waited for you to do something. You were smiling... but I didn't look up... I just stood there... Then you left...

I should have smiled back... I should have looked up... I should have... I should have not been afraid to look at you and find myself still in love with you...

But I am afraid... And for that I continue to look at you from a distance; for that I yearn for you more and more every waking minute; for that I have to pretend that I CAN do without you; for that I find myself curling up in my corner, deafened by the silence of the life that is without you...

Pride. It has its price. I thought I could pay the price... I thought wrong.

Perhaps the most painful thing about waiting for you to come to me is knowing you won't.

...while 7 only like both.

This is the friggin' line that has caused my first failure for the term. Yey. *insert sarcasm here* Kaya sa init ng ulo ko ay ilalagay ko dito ang mga rants ko. Pesteng Venn Diagram yan.

1:The test was a word problem and it is for this reason that the presence and arrangement of words are to be taken as strictly as possible. As such, the word only was taken into careful consideration.
2:Take the following statements.
  1. 42 like Koreanovela[s]* and Chinovela[s] while 7 like both.
  2. 42 like Koreanovela[s] and Chinovela[s] while 7 only like both.
To make my point, I will ask this question: Do you mean to tell me that the insertion of the word only doesn't make a difference? I think not. Only changes everything. Take the following statements.
  1. 26 Like Koreanovela[s].
  2. 26 like Koreanovela[s] only.
I think I made my point pretty clear.
3:Seeing as the question is wrong, how then are we supposed to give the correct answer? [Hindi naman ako galit nito. Galit na galit lang.] I don't think that is humanely possible, unless of course you intentionally gave the wrong answer, which, by some very, very, very fortunate twist of fate, turns out to be the right answer.
4:You can't translate the friggin' problem into Filipino to make it clear because it will all get lost in translation. Haven't you learned that yet? And besides, it seems clear enough to me. It seems clear that you're incorrect. (And for those who say that before you understand something in English, you translate it into Filipino first: I really beg to differ. I don't think you have the right to tell me in what language I want to think. I have to say my thoughts are in English, thank you very much. And I know quite a lot of people who do so too.)
5:A second quiz (that is to say that there was a first quiz... that happens to be in question, btw) is out of the question since the credit that the students will get is invalid. Mali nga yung tanong eh. Pano mo masasagot ng tama yun?!
6Ako ang gumawa ng test at ito ang gusto kong maging resulta. A little totalitarian, aren't we?

Pagod na ako. At nalabas ko na ang sama ng loob ko kaya tama na yun. Kung anu pa man yung mga arguments ko kanina, pilit ko na yun kinakalimutan ngayon.

Professor Avegail Carpio

I'm watching you. Oh yes. I'm watching you very closely... *evil laugh* Joke lang... You're a victim of amphiboly. Besides, you're no English expert (and neither am I) so I can't expect you to construct your sentences perfectly...

I miss MC. I didn't have problems like this there... The teachers were all so... fluent. The math may have been hard, but the English was flawless. *sigh*

---------------

I was caught in traffic yesterday because of a parade. There was music and dancing and colorful costumes! But there weren't any smiling people. They were, if anything, frowning.

So... the whole thing was supposed to be a Christmas-sy sort of thing, but I think I missed it.

---------------

I'm out of breath.
