I read this article, essay or whatever you wanna
call it, during my first few years in college...
i just want to thank the author for sharing this
amazing analogy his mind had produced...

He said losing a girlfriend is like losing your
wallet… nice one. How can you lose a wallet?
Well, maybe someone stole it from you or maybe
you're just plain stupid that you took it for
granted and left it somewhere. Bull's-eye!! And
what do you when lose something? You look for
it, right? Oh yes. You go back to
those "memorable places" hoping that you'll
catch a glimpse of it, dreaming that whoever
stole it will give it back, making a promise
that you would sacrifice everything as long as
your wallet returns to you. You search goes on
for hours; days, months and you feel like you
can go on for years. But then you realize that
you gave it your best. The one that went away
won't be coming back anymore. It's time to give
up. And it's like the hardest thing in the world
to do. You miss your wallet. You miss all the
things you had put in there; money, pictures,
cards, ID's, sheets of paper and the memories
that goes along with those things. And then you
remember the very first time you ever got that
wallet and the feeling that nothing could have
set you apart came back again. But you're wrong
because now it's gone and you have to let go.
Sad isn't it? Then one day it just came into
your mind that it's time for a new wallet. You
start to money, pictures, cards, ID's, sheets of
paper in it. It feels like it's the same as your
old wallet but then again it's also different.
Day by day, your new wallet becomes a part of
you. You still remember the one you lost but now
you're not sad anymore. You have a new wallet.
Now you just have to remember the past and take
a lesson from it. "This my wallet…" you say to
yourself. "And this time, I'll never lose it
again."
